Additional support is now available to Northern Rivers homeowners identified by the NSW Reconstruction Authority (RA) eligible for resilient measures as part of the Resilient Homes Program (RHP).

Fifteen small to medium businesses and three local councils in flood impacted towns and villages across the Northern Rivers are set to share in more than $9.2 million worth of grants thanks to the NSW Government’s Towns and Villages Resilient Business Activation Program.

Disaster assistance is now available in the Bourke, Brewarrina and Walgett Local Government Areas (LGAs) following the impact of flooding. The assistance measures are being provided by the Australian and New South Wales Governments through the Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).

Free online and in person programs to help businesses and not-for-profits prepare for and recover from future disasters are being expanded to the Central West. The NSW Reconstruction Authority (RA) is offering the Business Beyond Disasters online course to businesses and not-for-profits throughout the Central West, in conjunction with organisations and businesses in the Northern Rivers.

Residents across the Central West of NSW impacted by the 2022 floods have begun to receive their free home assessment reports from the NSW Reconstruction Authority’s $40 million Resilient Homes Program.
